If you’re in the Cincinnati area and looking to add a furry family member to your home, there’s no better time to do it than this weekend, February 11th and 12th. Why? Because My Furry Valentine is taking place, that’s why!
More than 800 adoptable animals from area shelters and rescues will be hanging out at the Sharonville Convention Center just waiting for you to fall in love with them. Visit the event’s adoptable pet gallery for a sneak peek at the darling animals waiting for their forever homes.
In honor of My Furry Valentine, Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley has declared February 11th and 12th, 2017 Official Pet Adoption Weekend in our city. The animals are so excited! While a few of them tried to argue that every weekend should be pet adoption weekend, they all agreed that this proclamation was a great honor.
Even if you’re not interested in adopting a pet at this time, there is still plenty of fun to be had at My Furry Valentine. Vendors will be there selling their pet-related wares, animal advocacy groups will be providing education and information, and organizers have planned fun activities for children. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to enter a raffle and win some great prizes.
For all the scoop on the event, visit the My Furry Valentine site and read up on everything you need to know to find a new best friend, have a “fur”tastic time, and help Cincinnati-area animals. Not a bad way to spend a weekend, right?
